Post Your Energy Efficiency Rating Label

Local Law 33

Local Law 33 of 2018 requires all buildings that are on the NYC Benchmarking Covered Buildings List to post their Energy Efficiency Rating Label. Last month the Department of Buildings began issuing violations to building owners with more than 25,000 square feet (single structures) or multiple buildings on a single lot that total 100,000 square feet or more.

The Civil Penalty for Failure to Post is $1,250

Owners that receive a violation can view and pay the civil penalty or challenge the violation through a new portal in DOB NOW: Safety.
