DOB Now: Build New Document Requirement Delayed
The Department of Buildings is delaying a requirement to upload a Property Ownership Certificate Form until August. In August, in order to proceed with a permit request for New Building and Alteration-CO in DOB NOW: Build, the ownership form will be required. Local Law 33 Local Law 33 of 2018 requires all buildings that are on the NYC Benchmarking Covered Buildings List to post their Energy Efficiency Rating Label. FISP SWARMP Civil Penalty Reminder
As of February 21, 2020, the Department of Buildings can leverage a civil penalty for failure to correct a Safe with Repair and Maintenance Program (SWARMP) on Façade Inspection Safety Program (FISP) eligible buildings deemed unsafe because the owner failed to correct conditions identified in the previous FISP report.
